My Supports

When it comes to Support. I have a lot of support from many people from all walks of life. I have support from people who sometimes seem so distant. I have a lot of support from my mother and many of my family members. Sometimes I feel like I 'm all alone due to many things that I have to endure. I have migraines and they incapacitate me so sometimes I feel like I need more support in this area. My children have  had to deal with their mother being  unable to do things that normal mother s can when I have a headache.
Once place I wish I had more support was on the Job. On the Job there is not much support on the job when we are going through stress. The job itself is stressful but there is not much support for workers who need an outlet.

  1. A lack of support can definitely result in health issues. I believe everyone has felt at one time or another that the support that was needed was not there because challenges were not solved in the manner in which we expecting however I always knew that when times were overwhelming there would always be someone who would be there. I feel blessed to have a family and my faith to support those trying times.

    1. Jedina the lack of support is not the reason I have migraines. I have migraines due to a medical condition.

  2. I think that you are not alone in feeling alone at times, especially when it sees like you need something because all is going wrong, or you are not feeling well. I think it is great that you have support from people from all over, even as you stated "different walks of life". I don't know that anyone ever feels supported 100% of the time because it is natural for humans to get down every now and then. What matters is that you were able to get up from it and continue on!

  3. I could not imagine not having support in the workplace! Maybe you can express you concern to your coworkers and prompt them to provide support for you and you can even initiate it by being supportive to your coworkers. I enjoyed your post!

  4. Hello Laketha,
I am sorry to hear about your migraines. I am going to start praying for you. I remember a couple years ago I went to the dentist because I was having severe pain in my tooth. He told me that I had an impacted wisdom tooth that was growing in horizontally and as it grew it was pushing on my other teeth. To fix this problem required oral surgery and I was flat broke. I got alone with the Lord in my living room and I said, "Jesus, you are able to take this pain away. I need you to place your finger right here on this spot and heal this pain in the name of Jesus." I stood there silently for a few seconds as I was waited on the Lord to respond because I know he is faithful. Then suddenly the pain was gone! It was so incredible. Now it is two years later and that pain has never come back. I do plan on getting that tooth removed soon as well as my other wisdom teeth but I just want you to know that the Lord is able and willing to heal you. The God I serve has all power! God bless.

  6. Hi Laketha,
I have a cousin who goes through the same thing with migraines. My heart goes out to you and your family. Support systems are very important, but one thing I know is that the work place is filled with so many different temperaments and personalities that if I were you I wouldn't hold my breathe waiting for it there. My family is what gives me drive, I think that with them caring and loving you through your pain is enough for you to always feel consumed by there presence. Continue to press on and maybe when you finish your degree you can get a new job with more humble people.

  7. Hi Lahetha,
I think that it is wonderful that you have such a wide variety of support for you. I also suffer from migraines and so do my children. Just recently I found something that helps reduce the amount of times these headaches occur. I have reduced my sugar intake. I had to change my eating habits because I found out that I am in a stage 2 diabetic health situation. If I want to change the course of my health I had to loose weight. So I have. I have learned how the amount of sugar that I was consuming in the foods that I was eating caused many of my migraines. I still have them, just not as many. I know how horrible the pain is from these headaches. I have been in so much pain from them that I had to go to the hospital. It was scary. I also realize that stress is a major contributor to migraines. I hope you will find some relief from both the stress in your life and the migraines. Just remember that you are not alone and that there are many people who care about you. Maybe that will help you feel better when the migraine attacks you. Take care of yourself, you are in my prayers.
