The five people that touched my life the most were.
1. Ella Baker
My mother has influenced my life for many many years. Here ability to care for me as a single mother taught me how to become independent and to depend on myself.
2. My Grandmother Margaret Graham
My grandmother was a women that took me in when I needed a place to go and get myself together. She was a women who raised many, cooked for many and also feed many.
3. My First grade Teacher Ms. McMillian
Ms. McMillan was one of those teacher you never forget. She was the teacher that made you feel like you were her child and that she cared for you. She taught me how to read. I remember the books like it was yesterday. Buffy and Mack. She was a phenomenal women.
4. My Aunt Patricia Brown
Aunt Trish Ann is what I called her. She along with her mother and sister kept me many days while my mother worked. They taught me right from wrong and how to be a young lady.
5.My Grandmother Levata Odom
My Grandmother taught me what true love meant. She would visit me, and tell me that she lobed me alot. She would buy me things, and tell me that no matter what i should always Love...
Laketha you've got women that have inspired you,I wish I had both grandmothers to nurture me. A grandmother's love is so different from mommy's love. You've reflected on you first grade teacher, that is marvelous. My first grade teacher was so structured, I think she treated her students more like miniture adults.
